How is usage billed?

Everything is billed per second, with no minimums. Prices are quoted per minute or per hour so they're easier to compare, but you're only charged for the seconds you use. A 95-second job on a standard 2 vCPU runner ($0.004/min) costs about $0.0063, not two full minutes (GitHub rounds each job up to the next minute). Time spent in the queue isn't billed. Code reviews are a flat $1.00 each, whatever the PR size. All products draw from the same workspace balance.

How do free credits work?

New accounts get $100 in free credits: $50 when you sign up, applied to your first workspace, and $50 the first time you add a payment method. You can spend them on any Tenki product at the standard rates. Free and plan credits are used before credits you purchase, and purchased credits never expire. When your balance runs out, Tenki stops starting new jobs and sessions until you top up (minimum $20) or turn on auto-reload. We'll email you before that happens.

Which plan is right for me?

On both plans you pay for usage as you go, at the same rates, with no cap on how much you can run. The plan sets your limits, not how much you can spend. Starter is free and fits solo developers, side projects and teams of up to 5: up to 5 concurrent sessions and machines up to 4 cores / 8 GB. Team is a $250/month subscription, or $200/month billed yearly. It raises your limits to 50 members, 100 concurrent sessions and machines up to 16 cores / 64 GB, and adds Priority Support. Team includes $100 in usage credits each month, and anything beyond that is billed pay-as-you-go. Unused monthly credits don't roll over. Plans apply per workspace. Can I upgrade or cancel at any time?

Yes, from the workspace's Billing tab. An upgrade to Team takes effect immediately, the month's $100 in credits is added right away, and your free credits carry over. If you cancel, Team stays active until the end of the billing period, then the workspace moves back to Starter. Your projects and data stay intact, and Starter's limits apply from then on.

Do I pay for idle time or per seat?

No. Runners are billed only while a job runs: time in the queue is free, and each VM is destroyed when the job finishes. Sandboxes are billed only while a session is running. Pause one and it stops charging, and its files and memory are kept for when you resume. Code reviews are charged per review, not per developer, and adding members never changes your bill on either plan.
